As the nation reacts to this shooting, it will be parsed and explained. The alleged shooter, identified by AP sources as 22-year-old Jared Lee Loughner, was frustrated with the U.S. government, and the shooting has inevitably resonated with the dark and violent tones that have arisen in domestic politics at times over the past year and a half. Discussion is emerging over how directly this shooting is connected to politics, if at all.
 These senseless acts of violance are happening every day. It's scary! May God be with us in these times of senseless tragedy. May He Bless and keep each one off those caught up in this tragedy. Thankfully, the Congresswoman survived the attack and though she remains in critical condition, her doctors are optimistic about her chances of recovery.

Others were not as fortunate. Six were killed in the attack including U.S. District Judge John Roll; Gabe Zimmerman, a member of Rep. Giffords’ staff; and nine year-old Christina-Taylor Green. Fourteen others were injured.
