COVINGTON — Nearly six months after police say Richard Michael Beers ran a red light causing a wreck that killed two people, the 20-year-old Independence man has been charged in their deaths.

A Kenton County grand jury indicted Beers, who has a long history of driving infractions, on two counts of reckless homicide Thursday.

Brian and Melissa Hehman and their basset hound, JoJo, died in the Aug. 5 accident at the intersection of Ky. 17 and Ky. 3035 in Covington.

New Blessings, Today we received another 200lbs. of Ground beef and some Ham Bones for seasoning, for the needy. We delivered the Sharps Containers 01/04/2011 to the local Sheriff's Dept. today to Sheriff Chuck Dills, he explained their Drug Drop off Program and is Placing the Sharps in Cruisers today. It was an Awesome Honor to help with this Program. Also, we began work with the State Police Post 6 to implement Neighborhood Watch Programs at the local Apt. Complexes.
