What is real Kindness?

It's sometimes hard for us to look at people in need. Some of us don't want to embrace them by paying attention. Our society has taught us to not look. People confined in wheelchairs, those who are deformed, the homeless, the addict and may others, They say they long for a warm smile or friendly nod. And to not be treated as if they had some kind communicable disease. They just want everyone to know they are real people, with real feelings, inside the shell we see. Who all have the deep need to be loved and excepted, as well as to love others. Acts 3
Questions to Ponder...
Are you one of those who sees someone in need, so you reach in your pocket for spare change and then run the other way or just ignore them all together?
Do you look straight at him or her and see a real person hidden inside?
Be honest with yourselves, How do you feel around people who are not like you...in wheelchairs, the deformed person, the homeless, the alcoholic/addict, the mentally handicapped, or even the gay /lesbian, etc?
Are you willing to really look at that person? Are you afraid? or Do you just don't care at all?
And what if you fit into one of these categories, how would you want to be treated?
A lot of the people with these situations find it hard to trust people like us because, of how we act around them. As tho they are beneath us. Which makes their lives fall deeper into darkness, pain, and violence. When all it would take is a moment or act of Kindness...Luke 6
What is KINDNESS? It's love in the little things.
Christ and his disciples would never ignore or avoid, they didn't turn away from the crippled or blind, they weren't afraid of the depressed or possessed and they never put down or belittle the prostitute or sexually lost. They instead showed random acts of kindness and unconditional love.
So, how do we start a new beginning, a new way of thinking. Pray, Share and Care.
God Bless,
Tammy
